Reflect Systems, BrightSign, NEC Display Solutions and NEC Financial Services have partnered up on what they’re collectively calling a Retail Resurgence Program that bundles a set of solution-specific digital signage tech packages with easy, built-in financing options.
The solutions are generally familiar – like kiosks with hand sanitizer dispensers – but the wrinkle on the program (RRP for short) is the financing bundles. Retailers who are wheezing their way through lockdowns, distancing and online shopping alternatives can opt in on technology, with deferred or lowered payments that normalize down the road, when things HOPEFULLY normalize more generally.

- Store-front Concierge: Kiosk greets customers upon entry and provides key information, and safety reminders, as well as tracking occupancy and triggering specific content as needed
- Checkout Assistant: Kiosk offers safety, social distancing and store offer reminders in areas where customers are likely to congregate, such as fitting rooms and checkout lines
- Safety Ambassador: Kiosk features a digital display with integrated media player to update customers on safety procedures, new store hours or promotions—alongside a built-in hand sanitizing station

The program also includes up to 10 hours of content strategy, content development, or content scheduling support at no additional charge.
Logically, you have to wonder how many retail operators are in a position or headspace to invest in new technologies, even though they’d know the makeshift solutions they’ve been applying (like whiteboards on easels and printouts taped to windows) look bad and are hard to manage/control.
But, for those retailers who recognize this sort of technology is a problem-solver – and aren’t worried about simple things like staying solvent – solutions bundles with attractive financing will probably resonate.
The challenge is buyers have to find this sort of solution, so part of the work for this team effort will be creating awareness and action.
