Why I’m Going To InfoComm: Tom Milner, Service And Support Ltd. (UK)

May 29, 2015 by Dave Haynes

Here’s another InfoComm attendee, UK-based Tom Milner, Managing Director of the firm Service and Support Ltd., talking about why he’s going to Orlando this year.

1 – How many years have you been going to InfoComm?

This is year one, eyes wide open for me! Long term attendee of DSE in Vegas and ISE in Amsterdam and wanted to see if there was a new pilgrimage for each year. That and getting invited out by some long term attendees! Not sure if I am eye candy/bag carrier/bouncer for them….I’m happy with any description though!

2 – What are you looking for when you go?

I always like the approach of the US vendors from my visits to DSE, totally different from Europe and I’m hoping to pick up on some new stuff or stuff that I simply did not have time to see at ISE!

3 – Do you just walk the floor or do you hit any education sessions?

For me, it’s all about walking the floor and meeting old friends and also as always, networking to build new relationships. Shows like this are critical for me in my business.

4 – What are the biggest changes you’ve seen in the industry, and where do you see things going?

To be honest, certainly in Europe, the whole industry has only come out of recession in the last 18 months, I’ve got lots of catching up to do and certainly I am attending to find out what is new or improved and can have a benefit to my business.

5 – Do you prefer Orlando or Vegas?

As above, first time in Orlando for me so a new experience but one that I am looking forward to. On the flip side I love Vegas but if I attend Infocomm again and I like Orlando then I’d probably like to re-visit it here?
