Acer has announced plans to ship a giant 1080P tablet– called a Chromebase – by this summer, with touch and running Chrome OS.
The unit is kinda sort a tablet and also kinda sorta an all-in-one display – in a 21.5-inch form factor.
The new Chromebase will have a Tegra K1 processor, HDMI out, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and two built in 3 watt audio speakers. No price tag, as yet.
Aopen also announced a pair of Chromebases at DSE, including a 22-incher.
