Why do people going to DSE need to put your company on their Must See list of booths?

Fast growing digital signage display company continuing path of innovation.  Come for the Planar Transparent OLED display technology demonstrator and for new product announcements and stay for the award-winning Clarity Matrix LCD video wall and industry-leading Planar UltraRes 4k displays for signage and interactive applications.  Experience the range of visualization tools that make envisioning and designing video wall installations easier than ever!

What’s your big marketing message to attendees, and what’s it all about?

Digital Signage, in all of its forms and with all of its objectives, is better served with vibrant displays designed for installation ease, serviceability, durability, thin-mounting depth, and features suited for commercial applications.  Across display technologies, applications from video walls to stand alone displays, and with exclusive features to extend product life and add touch interactivity, Planar enables next generation digital signage.

What’s the ideal profile of attendees walking into your booth?

End users looking for a digital signage solution and a referral to a capable and experienced integrator in their area.  Integrators, resellers, and other industry partners looking to see the latest innovations in video wall and flat panel display technology for digital signage.  Content developers, marketing agencies, and designers looking to see the state of the art in displays and how they can create the next generation of user experiences.

How many years have you been doing DSE and how has it changed (if you think it has changed?) over the years?

We have been involved with DSE for over a decade in various forms and the past several years in a growing capacity.  Digital Signage, as a category of technology, is growing rapidly and it is reflected in our attendance here.  The show has become a bigger platform for Planar and how we connect with our reseller partners, integrators, and the larger content development ecosystem.

We are now timing major product announcements to the show, as evidenced by our plans this year, and providing the industry an opportunity to see emerging technologies that they would otherwise have to wait until InfoComm or other venues to experience.

Any advice for first-time attendees?

Engage at the show at two levels.  First, take it in as a whole and understand the overall market trends, leading players, and themes in the industry.  You can get this by walking the floor, asking folks in the lunch line what they are most excited about, and glancing through the conference program.  Then, don’t stop there.  You must engage at a more detailed and actionable level.  Ask questions and engage with the exhibitors and the presenters at the show.  Set a goal of learning three things that you can go back and implement, or five ideas you can take back to present to your colleagues, or a project that you can connect with more deeply.  Make those goals specific, measurable, actionable, realistic, and time-based and hold yourself accountable for having a great DSE!
