My Day Off

My consulting gig in South Africa has been a Groundhog Day thing of going to an office park and going back to the hotel, and repeat. Day after day.

But we did get out today. We couldn’t figure out why traffic was backed up on this game reserve north of Joburg, and then this pair walked up. Then the rest of the price, in what was definitely not a zoo or drive-thru city “safari.” pretty amazing.

Business travel is way less fun than many people seem to think, but this sort of thing does a nice job of making up for being far from home.
