Projects: BC Ferries’ Long, Wide Video Wall

What I assume is a flagship retail ticketing location for BC Ferries at the foot of Burrard Street in Vancouver has a big, very nice video wall system running for customers and passing tourists to see.

The ticket centre is across from the convention centre and cruise ship terminal and at the epicentre of local tourism.

The wall has at least 15 portrait mode panels (didn’t count them, sorry) with narrow bezels, all lined up. The middle sections have touch overlays so you can sort images and drill down on destinations. The touch was a little clunky, but not terrible.

I liked the big impact of this and how you could clearly see it from the street, which was likely the point.
