People: Koolen Joins PRI AS EU Consultant

Digital signage software vet Robert Koolen has joined Platt Retail Institute as Advisor on EU Business Strategy, providing management consulting and business development services for companies on the other side of the Atlantic that are trying to build up business over here.

“Opportunities for local growth in many parts of the EU are limited because of troubled economies,” Koolen says. “This is the perfect time for European companies to expand in the U.S., where the economic outlook is certainly brighter.”

Koolen spent about a year as President, International, for Four Winds Interactive and prior to that was President of Scala, Inc. for three years or so.

“Robert brings tremendous skills and industry knowledge to PRI,” says PRI Director and Research Fellow Steven Keith Platt. “With more than 25 years of global expertise helping companies grow their business, Robert will contribute significantly to our EU consulting practice.”
