If you have wobbled around Digital Signage Expo you’ve likely noticed at the entry gateway a booth run by the show producers that includes a micro TV studio where a steady stream of people sit for quick interviews on who they are and what they do.

The interviews are done by someone unfamiliar to me, and my guess is she has a canned set of questions and doesn’t know a whole pile about the industry. So it’s the what do you do, why are you here, how are things going stuff. Which is entirely fine. It ain’t supposed to be Face The Nation.

That said, I dodged the interviews, fearful of questions about my shadowy past. Either that or I forgot to agree to a time.

Some three months out, the interviews are all edited. There are the usual mike-loving suspects, but a lot of people rarely heard from – like Randy Dearborn from MGM (above). Because the subjects are allowed to pretty much blabber about whatever, the sales guys sell. But there will be useful nuggets in most of the chats.

Worth some YouTube time …
