Langdon Joins Avnet

I have known Sean Langdon for the last three years or so and pretty quickly developed two key impressions.
Very tall. Really sharp.
He has been doing business development for Horizon Display – which can handle all kinds of interactive touch hardware and software. But Langdon rang me up today to let me know this was his second day with Avnet, which is a gigantor AV/IT distributor that does more than $11B in business annually.
The company has been making a push into digital signage lately, developing partnerships and setting up a demo center in Phoenix, where the company is based. Now they have hired on Langdon to handle strategic sales.
Good pick. Sean can talk propeller-head, but has a really strong business sense. He was happy at Horizon but this was a chance to to work at a national and global level and have a pile of resources supporting that. He’s still based in the LA area, and his mobile number is still the same.

I’ve collaborated extensively with Sean over a 2-3 year period as well. He is razor sharp business sense and objective insight will no doubt benefit Avnet. Congrats Sean!
