DSA Extends Awards Entry Deadline

February 13, 2012 by Dave Haynes

This doesn’t strike me as a master stroke of timing – smack in the middle of a series of major trade shows for vendors – so it is not a big surprise the Digital Screenmedia Association has had to extend the nomination window for its Industry Excellence Awards.

Due to the response and number of requests for an extension, we have agreed to extend the awards entry deadline until this Friday, Feb. 17. This will be the last chance to enter this year’s competition.

Until they extend the window again (sorry, but I’ve seen this movie). Awards may be eyeball-rollers for some people, and a pain in the butt to work on, but they are great little marketing tools. While you may reasonably think the awards selection rarely represent the truly best work done, those companies that do make the effort are pretty effective at making hay among end-users who don’t know or care how big a deal it may be (or not) to win.
