Report: Ronin, marketing partner trying to work NewCo deal?

The only investor guys who tend to call me are the ones who want me to come to their free seminar at the local Holiday Inn, so I don’t see a lot of circulars for companies that are on the block.

Adrian over at DailyDOOH, the industry’s go-to shit-disturber, gets them slipped his way now and then, and he has a post up this morning about Wireless Ronin circulating a proposal for a NewCo (brand new company) that would merge it and the marketing partner it recently announced that does old school QSR menu work.

Wireless Ronin has been a steady source of interest because A) they are one of very few public companies in this space, so we get to see what’s really happening, and B) they have lost sooooo much money ($70M-plus).

On the exact same date (2nd November 2011) that this ‘Keyser Industries and Wireless Ronin Technologies Enter Joint Marketing Agreement to Deliver Complete Digital Signage Solutions to Quick-Service Restaurants‘ was being announced a document was quietly being circulated in investment circles by a boutique investment firm out of Minneapolis with a proposal to merge Wireless Ronin Technologies, Inc (NasdaqCM: RNIN ) and Keyser Industries into a single company and to try to take them private.
