Electrosonic projection-maps a hotel for trade show party

You start to realize what you once thought was really exotic stuff is starting to go mainstream when you see it used for corporate parties. In this case, big AV integrator Electrosonic rolled 3D projection mapping of a hotel facade into the bag of tricks for its 10th annual party for clients and partners at the recent International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions trade show in Orlando.

The party was held on the courtyard of the Crowne Plaza Orlando Universal Hotel, and Electrosonic worked with Christie, a premier sponsor for the event, on the projectors, Mousetrappe for content, 7thSense Design for the multi-channel media server, JMR Surveying Group for the digital building survey, and JBL for the big audio.

Pretty cool, and a clear indication that this sort of thing is moving from big gazillion dollar event projects to ones with much more modest budgets that still generated the desired volume of Wows!

Hat tip to Tyler Hart of Sony for pointing me to this.
