How many screens for how many programs???

Cards on table …

I have a client asking me a question and I don’t have a solid answer, so I am hoping to crowd-source a response.

The client wants to know in a larger facility, with 25-50, or maybe even more, screens around the place, what would be the ration of programming channels to screens. In other words, if there are 30 screens, would that typically mean there are six content channels … and therefore a 1:5 ratio of media players to screens.

I think it changes from project to project, but curious if people who knock these things out all year long have a better sense of what’s typical in terms of ratios.

This is for ballpark budgeting.
