RMG adds Yahoo's CMO to board

RMG Networks, aka Reach Media Group, has added Elisa Steele, executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Yahoo!, to its Board of Directors.
Steele oversees the company’s global marketing strategy and therefore controls a budget that included a $100 million ad campaign last year and another one this spring that cost an estimated $75-$85 million.
“We are delighted to welcome Elisa to our Board of Directors,” said Garry McGuire, CEO of RMG Networks. “Her experience leading advertising, marketing and media for one of the world’s most recognized brands, makes her a great evangelist and advisor to a digital media company such as RMG.”
It’s fair to suggest, I think, that RMG is still getting itself truly organized. But with very deep-pocketed and smart backers, some strong, well connected people on its management team, and way better ties into the online world than any other DOOH company I know of, RMG is definitely a company to watch over the next year.
