Forum tomorrow in NYC covers DOOH landscape

May 12, 2010 by Dave Haynes

MediaPost probably more than any other “mainstream” ad industry publication keeps a steady gaze on the Digital Out Of Home sector, and it’s reflected in how they have developed and run a substantial event each year looking at DOOH.

The next one is tomorrow in New York, and it looks like a nice solid line-up of speakers and panelists. The event is aimed at the agency community and there are a lot of people with substantial titles slotted to talk.

Panels include:

  • Big Buyers
  • Strategic Planning
  • The Metrics Panel
  • Advertising Formats
  • Privacy
  • What’s Next
  • I Wish I Thought Of That Digital OOH Idea!

There’s also a presentation about advertising and neuroscience called This Is Your Brain On Screens.

Dr. Carl Marci of InnerScope takes us on a journey through the looking glass – actually, all of them – demonstrating a new model derived from the field of neuroscience and biometric testing that explans how our brains process media content differently across TV, online, mobile and out-of-home screens.

My Preset Group colleague David Weinfeld will be there and is involved in a pair of panels. He and I share the same point of view on privacy and audience counting technology (as in, “There are many other things that are waaaay more invasive than that kids”). And Weinfeld is a great choice to talk about where this thing is going, as he eats, sleeps, breathes emergingh tech and how it plugs into digital signage.

Should be a good event for those who can make it.
