Mixer report

February 10, 2010 by Dave Haynes

Sheesh. Been on the phone all day. Only one Nespresso in me and it’s 1.

Anyway, enough of my misery. I could be living in the Washington-Philly-New York corridor and shoveling snow, again. All of 2 inches on the ground here in outer, outer, outer Toronto. That started last night on the way to and from the latest industry mixer.

Good crowd. Forty people or so, maybe more. Lotsa new faces. There were several people I didn’t get to chat with, or meet, so I will assume they were from the World Privacy Forum … watching us.

I spent a lot of time yakking with Rob Gorrie, a long-time regular but now running Adcentricity out of its New York offices. Sounds like a LOT of good stuff coming as the agencies really start to bake DOOH into their plans. Is that a pun?

Thanks to Dmitry Sokolov for arranging and the good folks at Chief for whipping out the plastic for drinks and nibblies.
