The network involves nearly 230 digital displays at Ivanhoé Cambridge mall properties across Canada. The display solution is a combination of double-sided 86-inch “Floor Media” displays, as well as displays on walls, interactive digital posters and “digital spectacular” screens, which I assume means video walls.
The displays will be located in concourses and high-traffic areas of the shopping centres, offering digital wayfinding and running spots that support new store openings, promotions and upcoming events. The screens will also run local, regional and national advertising sold by the Cineplex’s media sales team.
“CDM’s expertise, insight and know-how provide an innovative media solution to deliver premium advertising, and informational content to our visitors,” says Tracy Smith, SVP of Marketing and Innovation at the mall group. “CDM’s solutions and skill-set include creating engaging shopper experiences, which is a strong asset as we are continuously looking for ways to deliver impactful and differentiated experiences for our discerning customers.”
“Innovative property developers are turning to interactive digital display solutions more and more because they’re effective, fully-customizable and shoppers love them,” adds Fab Stanghieri, SVP of Business Development and Client Service at Cineplex Digital Media.
It’s the second large mall group win for Cineplex, which also put in, runs and sells a network in Oxford Properties malls in Canada. There may be another one, but not totally sure who does/sells for the other other big mall group in Canada.
Installation has already begun at several properties and the network of digital displays will be operational by the end of the year. These shot are from Vaughan Mills, a big mall on the north and west outskirts of metro Toronto.
