DSE Adds New Event To NYC This Fall

The Digital Signage Expo folks are putting on a one-day education/networking event in New York in October, as part of what’s being billed as Digital Signage week.

The “week” part has to do with there being a few events grouped around the city that week, including the DailyDOOH investor summit. The thinking is that if you are heading to that event, or the NEC thing I think is that week as well, why not go to some other cocktail events ands and open houses.

The small problem, of course, is that staying on in NYC for an extra night or two is not like staying on in Vegas … where hotel rooms are about 1/3 the price.

Called DSE ONE , the 10/21 event is described as as a “new full-day education and networking program designed specifically for middle and upper management decision-makers, whose organizations are planning an investment in digital communications and technology solutions in order to communicate more effectively with their customers and employees.”

Staging during Digital Signage Week, the event will feature peer networking, panel presentations, collaborative roundtable discussions and a representative cross-section of key industry vendors prepared to demonstrate and discuss the benefits of various cutting-edge communications technology solutions.

There will be panel discussions, roundtables and exhibits, so I think it’s fair to assume this will be like a New York slice of some of the vendor-driven things you see annually at DSE. The event page doesn’t yet have any detail about subjects or parameters.
