DSA Waives Initiation Fee In Spring Membership Blitz
April 22, 2014 by Dave Haynes
The Digital Screenmedia Association has launched something of a membership drive, dropping initiation fees for a limited period and reducing the cost for organizations who dropped off but want to return.
The DSA says waiving the initiation fee – for the next month – could save an organization as much as $2,000.
The DSA also says it is revamping its website (hint: make it look completely different from the for-profit Networld sites) and will be adding participation councils (which are … something) and new online tools.
The other membership body representing the sector. the Digital Signage Federation, charges $250-$500 for annual memberships and I don’t see an initiation fee.
To make sense of purely the cost difference, as a consultant joining these associations would cost me:
- DSA: $495 (with $500 waived until May 23rd)
- DSF: $250
I don’t currently belong to either.
