DPAA adds three new members to roster

The Digital Place-based Advertising Association has bulked its numbers up a bit more by adding PlaceWise Media, DOmedia, and Ayuda Media Systems to its roster. That’s 32 in total, and seven new in 2011.

New member rules tie fees more closely to company size and revenue, whereas the old system had a BIG fee for any new member.

DOmedia and Ayuda both have planning tools for the medium. DOmedia is the company that recently formed a partnership with NEC Displays (VUKUNET) while Ayuda works with a lot of the major OOH companies and built the DPAA’s search and discovery planning database.

PlaceWise Media is described in the release as “a provider of interactive marketing solutions to connect brands with consumers across online, mobile, social and screen-based media in the context of shopping centers. With engaging and relevant content delivered to audiences across many consumer touch points, PlaceWise Media creates context and unparalleled value for advertisers, sponsors and the retail industry. Privately held and based in Denver, PlaceWise Media has serviced leading companies in the retail industry with interactive marketing solutions since 1997.”

They have a couple of media properties – Mallfinder and Shoptopia – with content that would seem to fit well for media companies putting screens into shopping havens.
