These seem really clever – old but iconic London phone boxes replaced by interactive stations that are bankrolled by digital OOH ad posters one one of two sides.

The stations are being put in by Clear Channel UK, and manufactured by Amscreen, which has come a very long way from the days of putting up butt-ugly hybrid LED readout/LCD displays at the cash counters of UK convenience stores. That said, they did sell/install a LOT of those things.

Clear Channel expects to have 100 Adshel Live units installed in London by year’s end, and 500 a year later. The units have WiFi and provide interactive maps to the public.
