DSF Mixer Set For April 6th At Charlotte-area Bass Pro
March 30, 2016 by Dave Haynes
I’d got to this just for the food, and craft beer, but it’s a bit of a drive (like 14 hours) … plus I couldn’t drive home after the craft beer.
Oh well.
The Digital Signage Federation is running a mixer April 6th at the Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World store in Concord, NC, which is just up the road from the Lowe’s Motor Speedway (NASCAR track).
There will be BBQ from Sticky Fingers, craft beer, wine from Childress vineyards, and sweet tea.
The event is at Bass Pro because the featured speaker is Steve Hargis, Director of Video Productions at the outdoor recreation chain. He will be joined by his solutions provider, Rudy Alexander, who runs Charlotte-based 11Giraffes. The two will be demonstrating interactive touch-screen signage, with a focus on a working project at Bass Pro involving Tracker Boats.
My Preset partner Pat Hellberg has been to a Hargis presentation in the past, and was impressed by what he had to say and how he delivered it. Pat is not easily impressed.
Location:
Bass Pro Shops
8181 Concord Mills Blvd., Concord, NC 28027
The function is in a private room and directions will be provided upon registration.
Details:
6:30 – 9:00PM with a presentation starting around 7:15PM.
Registration:
Free for DSF members and end-user guests
$25 for non-members
Thanks for the shout-out Dave. No pressure to do a great presentation, but in truth I’m prepared to share some insight about touch-screen digital signage. I’m hoping anyone that wants to will come out and enjoy food / drink / and a great DS experience.
