NEC Display Solutions, Booths 2210, 2845

A pair of NEC executives have tag-teamed on their contribution to a preview of the display giant’s booth at DSE a week today.

Why do people going to DSE need to put your company on their Must See list of booths?

NEC Display has built a reputation for innovative display technologies. And this year is no exception. At DSE 2016, NEC will introduce a 1.9mm fine pitch direct view LED display and share plans for a full complement of indoor and outdoor LEDs. We also will showcase LCD video walls, high-bright and UHD displays as well as laser projectors.

What’s your big marketing message to attendees, and what’s it all about?

It’s not enough for visitors to see products at a trade show. It is our responsibility to help them envision how NEC technologies solve real business issues and transform the everyday experiences of their constituents. At its core, NEC helps people and organizations communicate, build relationships, inspire, impart knowledge and information, and enhance operations. Through close relationships with our technology partners, we are able to shift the limits of what is possible and help create a brighter experience for everyone.

Visitors to our booth will see how our solutions transform the way we share, present, and control visual information, which ultimately leads to more informed decisions and improved productivity.

What’s the ideal profile of attendees walking into your booth?

We look forward to connecting with professionals from traditional industry sectors like education, retail, hospitality/restaurants, houses of worship and transportation. The great thing about this show, however, is that we expect to make new connections with people who are perhaps visiting for the first time. We’ll be on the lookout to connect with people whose companies play in the Internet of Things, Big Data, Command and Control as well as those enhancing learning and entertainment experiences at places like museums, theme parks and science centers. There’s nothing more gratifying than sharing the promise of digital signage with new markets and with people who have great imaginations about the possibilities.

How many years have you been doing DSE and how has it changed (if you think it has changed?) over the years?

NEC Display was one of the first companies to exhibit at DSE, and is proud of how the conference and exhibition have grown through the years. DSE, as well as the industry itself, has evolved from showing content on a display from a single source to a multi-faceted exhibition that now factors in trends and technologies like IoT, Big Data, the cloud, mobility, biometrics, etc.

Companies like NEC are responding in favorable ways, showcasing how a combination of devices can help customers save time and money, and foster productivity and engagement.

When you get a chance to get away from your booth, what will you be looking for and researching?

While we want to stay on top of the technology today to meet the needs of our customers, we are a solutions company and, as such, we are always looking out for future trends and technologies. DSE is the perfect place to get a glimpse of what those trends and technologies are, and how they might fit into the solutions NEC provides.

What’s your favorite part of the week?

There are two areas of focus. One is catching up with existing customers and hearing about their projects. What has changed, what are they planning for the future? From the future planning, I am looking for what trends they are seeing and how they will incorporate existing technology and solutions into their projects, or are they looking at new technology and solutions to meet their needs.

The second focus is new customers and projects. It is always great to hear about how display technology will be used next year, two years from now and even further out. It is always exciting to see and hear how creative customers can get when trying to implement signage into an application. Whether it be standard LFD products like video walls or menu boards to video projection, there is always something new going on.
