This is an interesting take on how something as simple as a kiosk pedestal can influence company culture.

The gaming company Kabam redesigned the lobby of its San Francisco offices to celebrate the completion of a new product Star Wars: Uprising, it did up a Star Wars scene and layered in a pair of illuminated tablet-powered AURA kiosks from Armodilo.

On the Canadian enclosure company’s blog, it notes how adding slick displays were central to re-positioning the company, which has a market value of greater than $1,000,000,000, but was operating out digs that still looked like start-up land.

“Some of the kiosk stands that we had before were just really old, and really thin. They broke all the time,” says Stew Brown, Facility Team Lead at Kabam. He was surprised to find out that “something so simple can change company culture. People see things that are new and exciting. This tells a story of where we’re going now that brings a certain level of confidence in the company.”

Kabam is now using the kiosk stands in its offices in Vancouver, Los Angeles, Austin, Berlin, and Beijing.
