Here’s what Philips has to say about its InfoComm 2015 trade show plans, via North America Marketing Manager Stephen Shao:

1 – Why do people going to InfoComm need to put your company on their Must See list of booths?

InfoComm attendees should come by the Philips booth (#4689) because we’re premiering some really cool technology. We’ve got a 98” Ultra HD display that’s showing off a really neat feature called QuadView, which is the ability to play media from 4 different inputs all on one screen, making it perfect for conference rooms and corporate settings.

We’re also premiering the first commercial display with Ambilight. This technology creates light effects around the display based on the content on the screen, adding another dimension to spark viewers interest.

2 – What’s your big marketing message to attendees, and what’s it all about?

Our big marketing message is how we have affordable, effective commercial displays that work in any application. We’ve developed a whole suite of features designed with the end user in mind, such as a free built in content management system, with the end goal of making the install and execution as pain free as possible, and for end users to get a quicker return on their investment.

3 – What’s the ideal profile of attendees walking into your booth?

Our ideal profile of booth attendees are people from all levels of business and digital signage. Whether they are end users or integrators or pro AV professionals, we’ve got an interdisciplinary team that can educate visitors at any level.

4 – How has the digital signage business changed for your company in the past 12-24 months, if it has?

Within the past year, we’ve gotten more and more inquiries regarding larger format displays (80” and up). This is in large part due to 4K content becoming more readily available, and for end users, that wow factor is extremely appealing in drawing viewers.

5 – Any advice for first-time attendees?

Have a plan and schedule, but make sure you leave enough time to explore and stumble around cool new technologies. InfoComm is such a big show that it’s easy to get lost trying to see everything, but give yourself enough time to walk around, with no goal in mind. You’re sure to stumble across something that piques your interest, even if it has nothing to do with your business.
