Why do people going to DSE need to put your company on their Must See list of booths?
Visionect has 9.7’’ and 13.3’’ electronic paper development kits at DSE 2015. These development kits are out-of-the-box digital signs that use E Ink’s electronic paper displays and are running on Visionect’s digital signage platform. Their hardware and software is specifically designed for in- and outdoor signage, which means that the development kits constitute a real shortcut in the deployment of self sustainable, battery powered and wireless digital signs with great visibility performance.
We are very excited to have partnered with E Ink in developing these kits, and E Ink will be showcasing them at booth 2828.
What’s your big marketing message to attendees, and what’s it all about?
We want to show attendees all the incredible signage projects that can be realized on electronic paper. We want to everyone to know how e-paper displays with their energy efficiency and high readability are changing the digital signage market and are being implemented in smart digital signs and kiosks in transportation, hospitality, education, and medical and corporate environments.
The new development kits are a wonderful way of testing this versatility of e ink: they are the ideal tool for any signage integrator, because they make it possible to quickly start deploying content on electronic paper, creating custom digital signs right out of the box. So in short, a true turnkey solution that cuts time to market.
What’s the ideal profile of attendees walking into E Ink’s booth?
The development kits are perfect for any signage integrator, content provider, or OEM, as they are created not only for prototyping, but also for deployment in signage projects in real signage environments. But we’ll be very happy of anyone that is interested in all that e-paper has to offer!
Any advice for first-time attendees?
Well, the advice about comfortable shoes has been given before, but it probably bears repeating. But overall, I think my advice would be simply to enjoy what DSE has to offer, even if that sometimes means straying from your carefully laid-out plan of all the things you want to see – there is always something unexpected and amazing that you stumble across at these types of events, so that’s something to take into account.
And of course stop by E Ink’s booth to see all the amazing things that Visionect can help you make happen on electronic paper! We’ll be happy to hear from you before the show also.
