Why do people going to DSE need to put your company on their Must See list of booths?

Rise Vision will be featuring Google Chromeboxes and how users can leverage our free platform with low cost Chromebox hardware to drive digital signage.  Google has created a lot of buzz in the digital signage space and brings some dynamic tools with Chrome Management to secure and easily deploy the media players.  We are showing our Chrome App that allows you to easily manage HTML content and distribute it to your entire network of media players (Chrome, Windows, Linux, Raspberry Pi, etc).

We will also be demonstrating our latest storage enhancements with “tagging” to allow for easy distribution of content across large display networks.

What’s your big marketing message to attendees, and what’s it all about?

Digital signage software doesn’t have to be expensive to be a powerful, enterprise grade solution that can run large global networks.  We are currently adding over 100 new accounts each day and have active networks running in over 115 countries.  No strings attached.  Anyone can create an account with just a Google ID and start managing content, and if they need help they can browse our store to purchase training, support, pre configured media players, or premium content options – all completely optional.

What’s the ideal profile of attendees walking into your booth? (by this I mean, are you looking for retailers, corporate communicators, etc)

While we certainly welcome end-users to come by and learn about how they can use Rise Vision – we are excited to talk to web designers, app developers, and integrators that are looking for a free tool that they can integrate with their offerings.  We want partners to use our non-proprietary HTML content, public server APIs and open source applications to make our platform a unique solution for their specific applications.

How many years have you been doing DSE and how has it changed (if you think it has changed?) over the years?

While we have attended the show since the inception and provided software and content to exhibitors for years – this is our first time exhibiting.  I think the biggest evolution has been the convergence of IT, AV, web design, multimedia, mobile, etc.  It is no longer just flat panel manufacturers and software companies – the industry is now attracting the attention of Google, Intel, and other big players that are helping with the convergence of all of these technologies.

Any advice for first-time attendees?

Don’t get overwhelmed.  Everyone has their own terminology and buzz words to try and differentiate themselves.  Take your time, peel back the layers and understand the fundamentals.  I would also encourage attendees to stop by the Digital Signage Federation booth and consider joining and volunteering to get involved, to help share their viewpoints and what they want to learn about.
