A Phoenix mobile tech and marketing company has done a letter of intent to buy an existing digital signage network, with the goal of cornering the ad market in places that legally sell marijuana.

SinglePoint, Inc. plans to buy Drive Media Network , for cash and stock, with the initial plan to install Drive Media screens in medical and recreational cannabis dispensaries across the U.S., “to educate customers and reduce excessive wait times of up to 45 minutes.”

SinglePoint, says a news release, anticipates this initiative will generate revenue through screen placements and advertising sales.

The ad sales team’s first calls will, of course, be to Frito-Lay and Pizza Hut.
