Chief is a returning sponsor the annual Preset Group Mixer, and will be bringing a pile of people to the event ahead of DSE 2014.

Here’s a quick Q&A with Laurie Englert, VP Marketing for the Twin Cities-area company.

Q: What’s new for this year?

Englert: This year will be a big one for Installers! We will demo our new video wall mount! We created ConnectSys(tm) all based on installer input and we’ve got installer testimonials to back it up. I don’t want to give too much away but word on the street is that their installs are much, much faster. We will also have a whole host of other solutions perfect for digital signage applications at the booth. We have new multi-display and extra large solutions for video walls, menu boards, carts and more. Our new multi-directional ceiling mount will also be on display. You have to see it for yourself!

Q: When you get the “Why Chief?” question, what’s the response?

Englert: Since making its first mark in the industry by producing the original projector mount roll, pitch and yaw adjustments in 1978, Chief has been committed to delivering high-quality products that are easy to install and maintain. With numerous product awards and patented designs, Chief provides innovative mount features and is recognized for delivering quality products and knowledgeable, helpful customer service. Q: How large is the company?

Englert: Milestone AV Technologies, home to the Chief, Sanus, Da-Lite and Projecta brands, has offices in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Asia Pacific, supporting a global network with more than 1,000 employees. Distribution centers are located in Minnesota (US), California (US), Indiana (US), Ohio (US), Hong Kong and the Netherlands. We like to think we are big enough to support all our customers but small enough to meet even the smallest needs.

Q: Is the digital signage market growing for your company?

Englert: As the industry grows, so too does Chief’s investment in solutions to meet growing demand. Chief continues to add resources by expanding the Fusion line of flat panel mounts to include video wall solutions for cart, bolt-down and ceiling mounted applications. Chief also released multi-directional ceiling mounts and menu boards in the past year. It’s definitely an area we will stay focused on.
