Projects: Stacked Digital Branding Wall At DFW Retailer Destinations
July 1, 2013 by Dave Haynes
Here’s another airport job, this one at an apparel retailer called Destinations, at a shop within Dallas Fort Worth Airport.
It’s a video wall of four stacked 46-inch monitors, in place to engage and influence some of the 58 million people who move through that crazy airline hub each year.
The wall is run by a Capital Networks (16:9 advertiser) box loaded with Audience software, and the job was put together by Advision Media KarePKG Solutions.
“The client is very happy with the product,” says Dwight Moss, Founder/President of Advision Media LLC. “With in-store promos and special events constantly changing, Destinations DFW was in need of a robust solution that could reliably update and display our video content on a 24/7 basis. We’ve been able to provide that using the Audience software platform.”
I like the big impact of the stacked screens, but in the days of super-narrow bezels I can’t help thinking a loosened up budget would have made those noticeable horizontal seams all but go away. Yes, the super narrow bezels cost a lot more, but yes, they tend to be worth it in getting an execution fully nailed.
