Projects: Digital Fixtures In Strasbourg’s Galeries Lafayette

The press release is in French, which I am proficient at when it comes to ordering beer, but not much else. But what I could tell is that French integrator Eikeo is working with the Galeries Lafayette store in Strasbourg, France to get large vertical displays around the place.

Two things:

1 – The sleek black and curvy fixtures fit nicely in a retail environment;

2 – When you make something look very, very much like a smart phone (that thing looks like my Samsung), are you building the expectation that the units will be touch screens? Probably. And what’s the shopper emotion when that isn’t the case?
