Stratacache Shifts VP As Asia-Pacific Presence Grows
December 5, 2012 by Dave Haynes
STRATACACHE is getting serious about building up business on the other side of the Pacific – having opened an office in Hong Kong and now shifting a guy from the US to run the Asia-Pacific region.
The Dayton, OH-based firm has appointed Stephen Choi to the newly-created role of SVP of Asia-Pacific. He’s moving from Texas and will call Hong Kong home – but cover the sales, marketing and operations for areas such as China, Japan, S. Korea, Singapore and India.
Choi had been working as VP of Business Development since April 2008. Prior to that, he was with Verisign and AT&T. “Stephen brings to the table great technical and industry expertise, which will greatly impact the growth of our digital media solutions in the region,” says Chris Riegel, STRATACACHE’s CEO.
Riegel is actually in the region right now and in the process of opening more offices. He says business in the region is booming and he needed someone there full-time, instead of him making the 14-hour flights there and back.
