Sold Out DailyDOOH Awards Set For Next Week In UK

Tickets are now sold out for the DailyDOOH Gala Awards, an event billed as the “First Annual International Awards  Totally Dedicated to Digital Out of Home.”

The black tie evening is next Thursday in London in what would be locally described as a very posh establishment, the main hall of the Banqueting House – under a ceiling painted by Sir Peter Paul Rubens and installed in 1636.

The connection is, of course, that DailyDOOH head Adrian Cotterill and Rubens know each other from their public school days.

There are several awards categories and finalists include work by or involving Amscreen, Eye, JCDecaux, Ocean Outdoor, DLKWLowe, Posterscope, Bloomberg, the London Stock Exchange and Westfield London’s Stratford City Mall.

Cotterill says his team “believed that the industry needed its own impartial, professional, upmarket annual award ceremony. One that could truly do the sector justice.”

Guests will enjoy a gourmet three-course meal and fine wine, followed by a musical surprise before launching into the heart of the event. The evening’s Champagne Reception and ‘After’ Party are being sponsored by Scala.

Cotterill says one of the interesting bits about the night is the strong participation of Out Of Home media companies.
