Digital signage and broadcast software company Capital Networks Limited, based in suburban Toronto, is looking for a Director of Business Development.

Since 1991 we’ve supplied creation and content management software and support services to the demanding Broadcasting and Cable Television industries, specializing in local news and automated playback systems. In recent years we’ve developed our proven products and support to bring the same level of professionalism to the rapidly expanding Out of Home, Digital Signage industry.
Our platform called, Audience™ is already at work in more than 40 countries in a wide range of industries including: Broadcasting, Cable, Food Services, Hospitality, Retail, Military, Education, Gaming and Corporate.
Key Responsibilities & Attributes
- Responsible for new account development and prospecting
- Ongoing management of customer relationships and projects
- Maintain and update all relevant information about leads and sales pipeline using our CRM system
- Submit weekly sales activity reports
- Handle non-sales projects as requested by management
- Willingness to travel for short periods of time across North America
Desired Skills & Experience
- Post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior Digital Signage and/or media/advertising sales experience is a must
- Self-starter that manages time and activities with minimal supervision
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritize tasks based on organizational and customer expectations
- A strong sense of urgency and a desire to deliver the ultimate in customer service
- Pleasant demeanour with ability to interact with customers, vendors, and your team
- Salesforce.com or CRM experience would be considered an asset
- Proactive and takes initiative to improve operational effectiveness
- Must possess excellent presentation and win/win negotiation skills
Compensation
• Compensation will be commensurate with experience. This position is salaried with commission.
