Canada’s Olympics HQ Gets Interactive Christie Display Walls Through Games

July 30, 2012 by Dave Haynes

Christie Digital has worked a partnership with Canada’s Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade’s that sees a couple of big display walls running through the Olympics at Canada Olympic House in Trafalgar Square.

The space is the Canadian Olympic Committee’s space for athletes, families and friends, and is also something of a trade mission that has officials bringing in business leaders and government dignitaries. Christie is one of several technology companies showing their products (Christie is Japanese-owned but Canada is the company nerve center and home for R&D).

The install includes a large lobby display (foreground) with 37 Christie MicroTiles and four 72” diagonal Christie Entero cubes (a different LED-based, ultra-high rez projection display system (background) in an area where numerous networking events are planned through the Olympics.

Montreal’s Float4 Interactive is providing the interactivity kit to allow multiple users to interact with the displays.
