It’s not.

It’s incredibly easy, however, to waste time and money, and turn something on that is absent of any substantive thought and looks like hell.

This is from an e-mail blast this morning that arrived in Lord knows how many inboxes.

Stupid.

You can talk about your toolset being easy to use. But suggesting this whole digital signage thing is something to be pulled off in three finger snaps just adds kerosene to the bonfire of crap we all see hanging on walls and poles wherever we look.

And using the worn-out “Easy as 1, 2, 3” line would get a college student a D in just about any Introduction to Marketing class.

The Master Marketers/spam kings behind this don’t merit a free mention.

    How true, Dave. I agree totally. Although Noventri has talks about simplifying the process of choosing, installing and running a digital signage network; never will the process be as “Easy as 1, 2, 3.”

    Each digital signage deployment demands different dynamics…in hardware, installation, screen choices, mounts, and content as well as management of the digital signage.

    Nothing is easy as 1, 2, 3 when it comes to a technology and medium that must be defined by the end-users needs.

    Bravo, Dave for calling this one out.

    3. In six months we scrap the entire plan because it didn’t work.
