Chief Tweaks Canadian Sales, Goes Direct

June 26, 2012 by Dave Haynes

I’ve long known and thought of Dave Galos as the Chief guy in Canada, and now he really is the Chief guy in Canada.

The company, which makes the mounts displays and other gear get hung off of in digital signage projects, had been partnering with EIKI Canada to sell and distribute products via ChiefMounts Canada. Now Chief has established a direct team in Canada “to support current customers and future growth.”

Four key people will transition from ChiefMounts Canada to the direct team, including Galos, Canada Sales Manager; Allison Cooney, Western Regional Sales Manager; Mike Snizynsky, Eastern Regional Sales Manager; and Carrie Cascagnette, Customer Service and Inside Sales Representative.

“We really appreciate the successful partnership we’ve had with EIKI Canada, but also look forward to the future customer support and service capabilities of a direct presence given our expanded scale and product breadth within the Canadian market,” says Steve Durkee, President – Commercial Products.

Chief will maintain three distribution locations in Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary, and customers can begin ordering and taking delivery directly from Chief starting July 1st, 2012 — with the small qualifiers that July 1st is a Sunday and also a national holiday.

So maybe wait ’til Monday or maybe even Tuesday. Of course if you wait until Wednesday then no one will be able to check with the US office because its the 4th of July, and, oh, never mind.

The new Canadian head office is in Barrie, which is outer, outer, outer Toronto.

  1. Dave says:

Thanks for the coverage. We’ll continue to do what we do, just now with the full support of the factory.

Next Wednesday, (4th of July)? I’ll be in Minnesota to answer the phone and take over, I mean hold down, the fort.

    Dave
