Sightings: U of T Adds MicroTiles Wall At Conference Centre
May 15, 2012 by Dave Haynes
I like stuff that looks built in and not bolted on, so a new video wall that just turned at the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs has some appeal.
The front wall of the Vivian and David Campbell conference facility at the U of T now has a 6 by 6 MicroTiles wall, used by foreign and domestic officials to present research work.
It would be very cool if they developed some content that replicated the wood grain of the wall and made the displays “disappear” and then build back up with whatever content is targeted. That was done at the Comcast building in Philly using LEDs, and these displays are infinitely better looking up close.
