This a prototype developed by Panasonic and broadcaster NHK that is a monstrous 145 diagonal inches of plasma and ultra high resolution of 8K, or 7,680 x 4,320 pixels. The handle for this is Super Hi-Vision TV.
Do not expect this at the back of your local Walmart anytime soon. It’s purely a prototype, and the world is not awash in 8K broadcast content anyway. We’re probably five or more years out.
