DSA Goes Global

The Digital Screenmedia Association has gone global, establishing a chapter in Asia-Pacific to be called the Digital Screenmedia Association Asia-Pacific (or DSAAP).

DSAAP’s headquarters will be in Australia, and the launch team includes:

Don’t know any of them, and don’t know what this achieves for the core DSA or for this new regional thing. The three core activities are billed as advocacy, education and networking. I don’t see much advocacy, everybody and their dead grandmother does education webinars these days, and networking in the age of social media ain’t exactly a mountain to climb.
