DSE Announces Content Award Finalists

January 18, 2012 by Dave Haynes

On the heels of announcing the Apex Award nominees for digital signage projects, the Digital Signage Expo folks have announced the finalists for its annual content awards.

The awards “recognize originality in content applications tailored specifically for the many and varied global DOOH audiences. Nominees are content developers, whether advertising agencies, network operators or end use network owners.”

The finalists include:

Arts, Entertainment, Recreation

Business, Industry & Government

Education & Healthcare

Event Venues

Food & Beverage

Hospitality

Multi-platform

 Public Spaces

Retail

The companies from six countries who contributed content for DOOH4Relief and DOOHgood should take some genuine pride in being nominated, as an aggregate, for that effort. Those companies included: Insteo, rVue, Context Media, Cineplex Digital, Groupe Viva, TMT Factory, iDklic, The Life Channel, TouchTunes, Outcast, ZipCast and the independent team of Judie Stillman/Producer, Taka Ikari/Design and Brian Arbuckle/Composer. Collectively, they produced some amazing spots in short order, and it’s a nice moment to see that recognized.

(Disclosure: I’m involved with several others in the volunteer-based DOOHgood effort)

The judges were (yay!) people who do this stuff, save one DSE staffer:

All the awards will be handed out at a dinner at Caesar’s Palace on March 7th. Tickets are available online at www.digitalsignageexpo.net.
