We’ve seen lots of mainstream media companies dip their toes into the Digital OOH sector, but it’s a different twist to see a Digital OOH company expand into another medium..
Montreal-based Newad has been making a transition from OOH to Digital OOH with its restaurant, bar and lifestyle-based poster networks in Canadian cities, and has now announced the launch of an online ad network based around the same audience sets.
Newad is launching Newad OnLine, an advertising network of English and French-language websites targeting Canadian Internet users between 18 and 34. The network offers advertisers tools for contextual, behavioral and demographic targeting, and consists of more than 75 sites that each month roll up to some 6.7 million unique visitors.
“This strategic development completes Newad’s digital offer,” says Newad President and Chief Executive Officer Michael Reha, noting how Newad has a network of 550 digital boards across Canada, a nightlife focused magazine and web property and a related iPhone app.
Newad announced earlier this year a big rollout to digital in its venues.
