NanoLumens finalist in big US tech awards
May 9, 2011 by Dave Haynes
NanoLumens has been selected as a finalist in the Breakthrough Technology category for the American Technology Awards, described as the only national “Best Of” awards recognizing all technology products and services throughout the U.S.
Atlanta-based NanoLumens — which has gained a lot of attention and market traction for its lightweight, flexible displays — was selected as one of four finalists. The others include VQ OrthoCare for its BioniCare Knee System & OActive Brace, Microsoft for its Kinect gaming device and Agilyx for its Plastic to Fuel Process.
Competing with Kinect is a pretty big hill to climb, but being named in that company is also pretty impressive.
The Termans – named after Frederick Terman, who was credited as being the father of Silicon Valley – are presented every year at TechAmerica Foundation’s Technology and Government Dinner.
