Insteo's Twitter visualizations used for Ulster election meet-ups

April 13, 2011 by Dave Haynes

This is pretty interesting. The U.K. digital marketing agency Blue Apricot is working with U-TV, or Ulster Television, on a series of special election Tweet-up meetings in Northern Ireland.

The idea is that Ulster locals who use Twitter to talk politics can gather at these meetings, but also have a community at large, including politicians not there in person, to lurk or post responses. The social stream is posted on a large screen at the event.

In this case, the moderated social visualization are from LA-based Insteo.

I LOVE Ulster accents, though you may have to listen a few times to sort out what they are saying, ie Feesbook is Facebook.
