Byron Darlison and his crew at Rise Vision are the sponsors for the May 10th digital signage/digital out of home media network mixer in Toronto.

Rise has been in the software business for almost 20 years and in recent years has carved out a name for itself as one of the real innovators, steadily building up a suite of open, web 2.0 services for networks small or large. They’re are based in Toronto.

The mixer will again be at Shoeless Joe’s in downtown Toronto. The address is 276 King Street West, at the intersection of King and Duncan.

We had roughly 70 people at the last mixer in March and we expect the same numbers, or perhaps even more. If you want to meet some great industry people and swap some cards, and then follow the usual pattern of spilling out in the streets to overturn police cars, then please do come.

Out-of-towners and people new to the sector are particularly welcomed, though its nowhere near as much fun to have them since the human rights people had a word with us about hazing.

We saw more people from the media and research side of the business in March, and we’d LOVE to see more media people come by and meet some of the people and companies who are helping grow these sectors.
