DSA lines up leasing arm for members

The Digital Screenmedia Association (DSA) has set up what it calls a “financing affiliation” with a Pittsburgh-based firm that will provide custom-financing programs for DSA member organizations.

“With our focus, experience and intimate knowledge of the digital signage and kiosk industry, PNC Equipment Finance is well positioned to help DSA members achieve their business objectives with a full range of financing alternatives,” said Paul Vecker, PNC’s Senior VP.

“We know that financing can be one of the obstacles to getting a digital screen media project off the ground,” said David Drain, DSA executive director. “Our affiliation with PNC should help accelerate the industry.”

If the news reports are accurate I gather it is still tough to secure lending in the US, so while this probably doesn’t mean PNC will just go ahead and execute loans because a company is a DSA member, at least the lender will be a little ways up the learning curve on understanding the business.
