Young joins SapientNitro

January 26, 2011 by Dave Haynes

Russell Young has joined SapientNitro as its Director of Alliances for Digital Merchandising.

He was on the job at the start of the month, having jumped from Samsung, where he was pretty much the friendly face of the commercial display panel in the US for the last few years.

It’s a nice pick-up for the global marketing and technology services firm, and likely a great gig for Young. I think his role has global scope. While at Samsung, Young was working a lot with SapientNitro the last couple of years as the driving force on the panelmaker’s   side for those interactive vending machines with the giant touchscreens.

My ops background made me twitchy when I would think about those Coca-Cola units in public spaces, but they have generated a lot of very positive buzz and probably are at least part of the future.

Congratulations Russell! He plans to be at DSE.
