Interactive stations jazz up Montreal fest

July 6, 2010 by Dave Haynes

A couple of Montreal companies are behind a nice little program running right now at Montreal’s famed, and massive jazz festival.

The event takes over the some of the streets in the city, and Sportech and Groupe Viva (related companies) deployed and are doing the programming management on messaging and interactive stations for  Bell, one of the main sponsors. The street-level,weather-protected booths are located around the festival site, and will also be used at an event in Quebec City.

Info-Jazz Bell and Info-Festival Bell interactive booths offer an interactive environment supported by ACL and touchscreens, as well as light emitting diode (LED) panels installed above the booths.

Sportech’s equipment and Viva Group’s technologies enable the real-time broadcasting of the Festival programming as well as excerpts of shows on the display network and on touchscreens installed in various Bell booths. At the same time, Viva Group, in collaboration with LG2, has contributed to the development of the broadcasted contents on the various platforms.
