Google TV explained, and why you should care

The 1:56 mark of this new video from Google tells you what you want to really know about Google TV and its relevance to the digital signage market.

At the entry level, your digital signage playback engine could be nothing more than an Android app selected from the marketplace. Find. Select. Click. Off you go.

If you have an TV with Google TV embedded or a separate box (and reliable broadband), you will likely find apps that pulls from multiple online resources and allow custom configurations for things like feeds.
