Next Toronto mixer set for January 12th

January 6, 2010 by Dave Haynes

The next industry mixer is set for January 12th in Toronto a the usual haunt, Six Steps.

The holidays have left organizing a little late, so there is no sponsor this time – meaning attendees will actually have to buy a drink. They’ll manage.

As always, all are invited – whether they are in the digital signage sector or have some interest in getting involved or tying in their business. It’s an entirely informal event, meant for swapping cards and telling tall tales. Cocktails are involved. Local health inspectors have, unfotunately, clamped down on the ritual sacrifices. But we still have secret handshakes. And it’s always fun when the police show up.

The event is booked through Dmitry Sokolov at Ingram Micro, and he’s appreciate if you let him know you are coming so he has a handle on numbers. Reservation is under “Digital Signage Mixer”, starting at 6:30.

Side note – there is likely a mixer in Toronto next month, but I am pulling the bits together for the second annual Las Vegas meet-up, just ahead of DSE. Watch for details. Last year’s brass rails, velvet couches and flaming fire pools have been upgraded to a very cool, upscale venue down the road but still very central, overlooking the Strip. Zip me a note – dave.haynes at presetgroup.com – if your company wants to get involved in drinks or nibblies.
